Discussion about
now that little big planet 2 and gran turismo 5 have been pushed back til 2011... what do you guys plan on getting this year?
I'm sure they will push PLENTY of console sales as well as Playstation Move hardware and software sales, and multi-console titles, since pretty much everything exciting this holiday season is multi-console... Nevertheless I can't help but feel they are seriously messing up not having Little Big Planet 2 or Team ICO Collection or SOCOM 4 until 2011, and if the same thing were to happen to Gran Turismo 5 I would be very upset.
I will probably pick up Singstar Dance fairly soon, my group of old high school friends LOVE playing Singstar, we have EVERY North American release so far and the group of us usually gets together for a Christmas party every year in December, in which there will be Singstar action.
Eh... you see, spirit of compromise, my social circle is a mix of geek and gamer guys and and mostly non-geek and non-gamer girls, Singstar is a good middle ground point, it appeals to the girls and the non-gamers more than Rock Band or the others and its lead to some ridiculously fun memories. We're old friends and incredibly comfortable around eachother obviously, but yeah, I'm not as ashamed as you would think :)
GT5 was pushed back with no definitive release date and for a while it definitely looked like it wouldn't be here until 2011, but it is definitely back on for November 2010 now
So with most of the big PS3 exclusives delayed, I think its safe to say that Gran Turismo 5 is the big must-buy on the PS3 this holiday.
Gran Turismo 5 has been pushed back FROM November 2nd but they are still saying it WILL be here for the Holiday. I am sad that Little Big Planet 2 and SOCOM 4 and Portal 2 have been pushed back to 2011... :(
trust me when i say it won't. gamestop.com says 1-1-2011. that's a saturday... that means it won't come out til like march. mark my words ;)

I'm still considering Singstar Dance and Time Crisis: Razing Storm, maybe a second Playstation Move motion controller. Definitely Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.
My interest in Time Crisis Razing Storm is based on the idea that the Move controller will make a much better light gun than the Guncon 3. I loved playing the Time Crisis games on PS2 with the Guncon 2, which was really great hardware... but I struggled with the Guncon 3 because of the setup and calibration and the stupid sensors you had to drape over the TV like the first power glove... I got Time Crisis 4 for the PS3 but ultimately felt that the experience was hampered by the Guncon 3 just failing to live up to its predecessor. Time Crisis Razing Storm uses the Move and it comes with the arcade version of Time Crisis 4 along with other bonus content, but I only want in once I'm sure the Move experience is implemented well, I can't have my heart broken by that series again.
Been travelling so have not had a chance to even open singularity (& also ended up buying Blackops, Brotherhood & New Vegas!. Too bad I wont be able to put them in before next year :().
Loved enslaved. Would compare it to Uncharted 2. The games short and fun (8 hrs i think) with a story that keeps you interested. Not much of a re playability & maybe its just me but there is a serious bug on Hard mode that did not let me complete the game (unable to perform a takedown on the dog on lv 6/7).

I played the demo for Enslaved and I was impressed. Mostly, I have a renewed interest in both Heavenly Sword and Enslaved because the developer Ninja Theory is the group that will be handling the Devil May Cry reboot and I really want that one to turn out great, I haven't made up my mind on it yet...
