Been looking for a new, slightly wider prime to use with my Nikon D300 that is wider than 50mm (since 50mm on a DX format camera is a little too tight for my tastes = 75mm equivalent on a full frame). Nikon has a nice 35mm f/1.8 (which is equiv. to ~52mm on a FF), but it's designed for a DX-only camera.
Anyone played with a lens in this range? What do you think of it? Photo examples?
Since I'm planning to eventually upgrade to a full frame camera at some point, I'm trying to make a conscious effort of buying lenses that will be compatible with these cameras in the future. Other primes in my collection are currently have a 24mm f/2.8 and 50mm f/1.8.
