New gdgt features for making CES 2013 manageable!

It's January already? Why, that can only mean one thing: it's time for CES!

As you may know, every year in January, about a zillion technology products get announced in Las Vegas. It's a little ridiculous.

Fortunately, the gdgt team has been hard at work building lots of awesome new features to make it even easier for you to cut through the clutter and find the new devices that matter the most to you.

Product showcases!

It's tough to cut through the clutter of hundreds of new product announcements a day, which is why we'll be rounding up the best ones into our new product showcase pages*, accessible from the top of the gdgt home page. What kind of stuff are we putting in these new hubs? Well, get a taste here:Of course, we'd love to hear your ideas for useful roundups we should put together. Post below and let us know!

Use your Want list to get release alerts!

Most products announced at CES don't come out for weeks, sometimes even months. How are you ever going to keep track? Easy!

Just log into your gdgt account and add interesting products to your Want list for safe keeping. We'll soon start sending alerts so you'll know the moment a product on your Want list has been released. Clever, right?

First Looks!

Reviews are the lifeblood of the gdgt Score, but often the reviews come later -- and you want to know what's going on with a product now! That's why we just launched First Looks links on product pages.

Just as our Critic Review links make it easy to find reviews from the best tech sites around, First Look links make it super quick to browse early product hands-ons before the full reviews drop later on. Of course, we'll be adding First Look links to major new products throughout CES. (If you want to check it out in the mean time, head here and scroll down: gdgt.com/apple/iphone/5/ )

Lightboxes, aka: huge images!

Fresh and ready to go: click any product image on a product page for the glorious, full-sized version in a fast-loading lightbox. Having to squint while inspecting product details is lame, marvel at the gadget porn in its full glory.

Successors, aka: huge links to the latest models!

The gdgt database has tens of thousands of products, and it can be pretty difficult to tell which is the latest model -- especially with so many new products coming out. But we've got you covered. gdgt's database now understands full product lineages, so whenever an updated model comes out, you'll be able to jump straight to the latest version. Check it out:

Latest Products!
Ready for the raw feed of products being added to gdgt? Look no further than our Latest Products page! gdgt.com/latest/

Latest gdgt Scores!
Okay, CES isn't about reviewing products -- that comes later -- but this brand new page will show you all the latest gdgt Scores site-wide as soon as they go live! gdgt.com/scored/

Tell us what you think!
As always, we thrive on your feedback. Tell us what you think, give us your suggestions for CES roundups, and we'll see you on the other side!

* Our eagle-eyed gdgt users may recognize the first showcase pages we recently launched, for Best Buy (gdgt.com/hub/best-buy/) and Canon (gdgt.com/hub/canon/).
