My boxee box can not connect/stay connected to my wifi network (I have an Airport Extreme with "WPA2 Personal" wireless security enabled).
Using an ethernet connection is not an option, which basically makes it a brick (given it's amorphous shape, a particularly useless brick). Can anyone help?
I don't have an airport extreme, but for the dd-wrt based router I'm using (Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH) I had to switch to WPA Personal, AES w/ a preshared key to get to get network connectivity through my router. I also updated the firmware to the latest release prior to trying that working configuration so I'm not sure if the 0.92 or whatever ships with many of them will work without the update.
It turns out that it was the name that I gave to my wifi network that was causing the problem - the name of my wifi network included an apostrophe, which proved to be fatal. I had already ensured that my wireless security was "WPA2 Personal". Once I removed the punctuation (the new name comprising only letters and spaces), the wifi began working fine. I'm now LOVING my Boxee Box.
