My beef with these headphones
1. They hurt my ears if I haven't wore them for a while. I think my ears need to get used to them in order for them to feel comfortable.
2. Anything that hits/rubs the wire, you will hear it, loudly. I haven't used other in-ear earbuds, not sure if its just the nature of this style of headphones.
3. The wire gets really wound up...it's hard to explain, it doesn't stay straight. There are permanent bends in the wire that I can't get straight.

#2 is definitely and issue for me. Other than that, these are the best sounding "comes with the player" buds out there. Well, they came with the 80G players, but not the 120's.
i agree with ribond, the magnets are a nice touch. these do seem more susceptible to tangling than typical earbuds, but not by alot. all earbuds get tangled if you throw them in a bag. one problem these have that isn't typical is the noise issue from anything rubbing against the cord. still, they sound and fit nicely, and i'd buy them again.
Mine get somewhat tangled too, now that I think about it. I don't use them often, though, becasue I can't get them to fit in my ears unless I take the rubber tips off. I like the sound that I get, but they don't fit my freakishly small ears very well, so I stopped using them when I can help it.
The noise from the nylon wrapping can get annoying, but when I am sitting still for a while, like on a train or plane ride, it doesn't make too much noise. I'd rather deal with the cord noise and have the added strength and peace of mind with the nylon-wrapped cable.

I agree with mattattaxx. I didn't have any tangle problems as long as i wrapped them up with that little stretchy tie that came with them. Initially I was worried about the problem with the noise when the cord rubs up against something, but after a while it didn't bother me. Unfortuanatly my left earbud just went out on me a few weeks ago, so i don't use them any more.
Three of the main reasons why I don't use them anymore...
and also, IT GETS SO TANGLED! And that's partially due to your third reason!

I have to agree with all three of your points, especially number 3. They're really nice sounding headphones, but I had to stop carrying them around because no matter what I did every time I took them out they looked like a tangled ball of wire. I guess it had to do with the braided material they're made of.
I could deal with the mild discomfort and the loud wire rubbing, but I got tired of always trying to straighten out the horrible loops and tangles that kept appearing no matter how careful I was.

I have no problem with wire tangling. Actually, these are all issues that don't bother me - I find using the smallest earpieces are the easiest to use, and out of any in-ear headphones I've used, they're the ONLY comfy ones.
