Lumia 900 now free after $100 rebate. Is it time to get our recommended Windows Phone?
Nokia is now offering the Lumia 900 for free (after the rebate) with a two-year AT&T contract, to both new and existing customers. The rebate is also available to customers who've already purchased the Lumia 900. The move comes after Nokia identified a software glitch that left some early customers unable to connect to the internet. If you have an affected phone, you can swap it at an AT&T store, or download a patch starting April 16th. We didn't encounter the problem on the Lumia 900 we tested, and it's unclear how widespread the problem is. Nokia says that only a "limited number of customers" were affected by the bug.

If anyone was on the fence about the 900 before, this makes it a no-brainer. The most common concern I see now is "What if it doesn't get Windows Phone 8?" but would Microsoft and Nokia put so much force behind something that will just be dead in a few months? I HIGHLY doubt that.
Nokia and AT&T have announced that there's a fix coming this Monday. so you get a $99 LTE phone & $100. So it's a minor hang up. More than likely Microsoft is going to follow the apple model. those 1'st gen devices will get a minor bump while 2'ng gen devices will get the full update. Tango is proof that Microsoft is committed to making WP a OS that can run on any device efficiently. the hardware spec won't change much except to allow better hardware. The devices released for mango will run Apollo just fine.
