looking for Motorola Droid GSM unlocked or smth similar

Dear colleague Nerds ;)

a friend of mine asked me to find him a new smartphone. He has been using Windows Mobile smarpthone and wants a new one.

I've heard in the GDGT podcast (which is my favorite one!, btw) about the new good ones done by HTC.
There is that big screen one HTC HD2.

I am looking for a GSM unlocked one though.

Any suggestions?
