Living in the future has finally paid off, and I have the HTC 7 Trophy in my hands. If anyone has any questions fire them this way.

Does it have expandable memory, i.e. a micro sd slot?

No. I think the WP7 specs say you have to have expandable memory under the battery. If there is a slot in there it's really well hidden.

How's the responsiveness of the phone? Any lagginess?

All very quick. Some really hefty websites have been slow to render, but thats about it. I've heard people complain about load times of some games in WP7, but I've not hit any of those yet with the trophy

Have you seen that stuttery scrolling behavior in 3rd party apps like Seesmic that was mentioned on engadget?

I havn't seen the engadget post about this, but I do have seesmic installed. After a quick test I don't seem to have any issues with horizontal scrolling but vertical scrolling in my list of tweets IS stuttery.

A quick test of a few other apps:
BBC News: Good - minor lag when changeing direction.
Facebook App (as opposed to intergrated feeds): Some stutter, not as bad as seesmic
Foursquare: Good - no lag (shorter list)
Twitter: Good - slight lag when changing direction

Thats really all the 3rd party apps I've got that have decent lists in them. I'd not really noticed till it was mentioned, but I'm not really using seesmic at all where its really bad.

Does the phone have a developer mode ala Android?

I'm sorry: I'm unfamiliar with dev mode for Android. I've only played with borrowed android devices, never owned one. I've not been able to find anything that I would describe like that though.

I have been torn between HTC 7 Trophy and Samsung Omnia 7. IS there a particular reason you chose the Trophy over other WP7 handsets? Thanks!

In New Zealand my choices were the HTC 7 Trophy, and the LG Optmus 7Q. I'm not a fan of the slide out keyboard on the LG, or the carrier. So I jumped on the Trophy.
