Will the ipad be a game changer, from what ive seen thus far probably not. However,It does allow users of ipod touches & iphones a larger surface to manipulate. I would assume images/graphics and video look great as well. I personally have enjoyed my experience's with my iphone & ipod touch products. None the less its still cool!
As much as I love the rest of the iPhone's interface, I have always hated playing games on it. I don't expect that the iPad will be much different, although with a bigger screen maybe the game developers will get more creative.
I guess I'm still waiting for the hook that's going to tie all of this together, and make me want it, but for some reason I have a feeling it's just not going to happen.
I think the price is going to be the thing or me. I've been looking for a slate and I see this as the best device for my needs as of now. Price could change all that though. Wish they would hurry up and say it, my lunch break is almost over here.
Well, Apple TV is a neglected product at Apple. There's no reason to buy it. It's not updated, and Apple themselves consider it nothing more than a "hobby."
This has full support of Apple and third party developers.
If they bring this out for $299, I'd say that would be a big deal. If it ekes in at $399, Apple fans will buy the hell out of it. If it starts at $499, I think they'll swing and miss.
You're probably right. If they can jailbreak the tablet to let me tether my phone then I'm sold. There's not way I'm paying extra for 3G on it when I've got a phone that does it fine.
I hope the media starts reporting that this thing is $829 compared to a $499 netbook. Apple needs to be pushed into making more reasonably priced devices. Adding extra memory and a radio doesn't cost them anything.
I dont think its practical to charge customers for another data plan,especially those of us who own iphone's. There should be some way to piggy back off of your current plan with AT&T. I believe its called nickel & diming. I also agree that at&t is digging themselves a bigger hole. they have 3 android devices,currently all the iphone traffic & now this ipad.
