annnnd it works! didn't get too far in configuring stuff last night, but i did at least get the wifi working and pinged google from the command line. It's definitely worth it to watch the video attached to the article THEN do the instructions. I'd thought I'd bricked my Z2 until I realized that I just wasn't paying attention ;P haha
One thing that I found out that helps when in the command line is to run "clear" when you first get in..otherwise the framebuffer acts a little wonky and you get dissolving text whenever you backspace/add stuff that isn't at the end of the line.

I'm getting one of these for christmas! Will be hacking it day one! You said you got an 8gig card, but instructions say 2 gig. will it read a larger card??
i actually didn't tinker with it enough after getting it installed, then had to use the card for something else...but it will at least recognize 2 out of the 8 gigs with no problem. from what i was reading on it before hand, the guy messing with it was able to get it to recognize the full 8 gigs.
