Like so many PDA's of the day, promised to be very useful...
... and when you actually got it and tried to use it, not so much. Still, it was a pocketable, tasteful gadget.
Ah. Those were the plus points of the old-school PDA days - I think the battery life could be measured in weeks, if not months - if I remember right, it took several coin cells. It was a glorified calculator after all.
It's not a touchscreen per se, but a clear capacitive-touch area which took over the 'personality' of any inserted card. You had a touchable icon grid which matched the illustrations printed on the expansion card.

Battery life was around six months of 'sporadic' use. Used one for several years before replacing it with a first generation Newton. The touchscreen did indeed cover an expansion card slot with several cards being offered in its heyday. I made particularly good use of the multiple language phrase book one during my gap year travelling through Europe.
Still have it sitting in a drawer somewhere, although its more than a decade since I last tried to turn it on...
