I recently purchased the iMac 24". Great computer. Extremely easy to setup and fast. However I am finding the internal speakers to be not enough. I want full surround sound but have found that I cannot add 5.1 PC speakers from other manufactures.
iMac has a digital port to go to an amplifier but I cannot seem to find a compact amp that accepts digital input. How do other iMac users do external audio?

There are plenty of surround speakers that take digital. Logitech makes the Z-5500.
I actually went with a couple of Mackey MR5s since they are powered and ran a splitter to both channels. Sounds really nice.
