Fairly easy to do.. Requires fresh TIM.. Heatsink paste..
1. Enter the bottom access panel where the ram fan cpu bridge heatsink are located..
2. Loosen screws.. for Fan heatsink assembly... Remove from laptop..
3. There is 1 metal screw wingnut lock that holds the metal copper heatsink from cpu to fan assembly..
4. Remove the wingnut carefully not losing it and separate the heatsink and fan assembly..
5. Clean fan.. Clean Thermal paste..
7. Reassemble heatsink fan wingnut assembly..
6. Reapply fresh thermal paste (half rice grain) both cpu and bridge..
8. Reinstall heatsink..
Reassemble completely.. Recommended every 6 months..
Thermal Paste Recommendation = AS5 (long curing time) , OCZ Freeze Extreme (no curing time) , Standard cheap stuff for everyday stuff..
Boot Windows and enjoy.. Recommend following burn in for thermal paste if instructed... HWMonitor to watch temps..
