Despite some initial difficulties with so many waypoints not being handled when using the file as a "route" I finally got it working when I used the file as a "course". The 705 will not provided turn-by-turn directions when navigating a "course". It WILL provide turn-by-turn when navigating a "route". The Edge 705 came in handy on more than a few occasions in finding places to eat and places to spend the night. The battery would last more than two days worth of riding without a recharge (10-12 hours). So far the Edge 705 is superior to the Edge 305 I used to use.
