I saw that, and i honestly wish i had the money to buy one, but i think i would still wait until its had some consumer use before i buy one, after hearing all the problems with Archos on here.

do you know if the flash variation will take an sd card? would be nice to be able to boost this thing to 64gb with a card

there looks to be an extra slot on it in this picture, although it'd be crazy to have it open like that if it were a place for micro sd

I think on the site it says it can accept SD cards although i forget if it is MicroSD or SD, in theory Android has to have an SD card slot in order to operate.
Yeah i would prefer the 500gb model myself just to hold all the movies i would rip to it, but the MicroSD slot would be perfect for all my music.
True but i thought they all got about the same 7 hour video use. I could be wrong i really didn't look but i would imagine they have put some impressive batteries in them.
I pre-ordered it over the weekend on Amazon. They had it for $80 off. The stars aligned and whatnot so I went for it. I wish I could get an answer as to when it is going to ship though.
Just spoke to Archos directly and they said that they should be getting units out to Amazon and other retailers in the next two weeks.
Finally got an email from Amazon that my 500gb should be in my happy little hands next Wednesday. Really hoping this is worth the money.
I thought the exact same thing when i was looking at it, sad really but thats what they wanted
