Is this a joke? Looks pretty but $564? Who would want one?

Hah, looks like PriceGrabber is screwing up. I disabled the price search feature for this gadget.

I don't think there's been an announced price for it just yet. I'm curious to find out how much it will ultimately be!

Given what's inside and the limited-run nature of the unit, I don't think it'll be much less, the completely random gdgt pricing aside.

It's not something I'd be interested in. I like retro as much as anyone else, but it has to have learned the lessons of the intervening period - and as such, recasing a bottom-feeder PC in an near-as-dammit exact replica of the case doesn't mean anything to me.

A modern interpretation of something like the Sharp X68000, or one of the other more radically styled computers of the 80's would be interesting.

I personally would want one for a living room PC if i could dual boot Chrome OS (or win 7) and the new "8-bit" OS. that way you got a cool, small PC with a blue-ray drive to search the web or watch moves on the couch and play 8bit games on the big screen.
