iPad's low RAM starts to show its limits
When I first got my iPad 1, it was a great device. But now, after the iPad 2 and OS updates, it's starting to show its age. Now the A4 chip is a great chip, and still is. But now everytime I browse to a page like theverge, even as a single page (no multiple pages on tabs), safari would crash. I see countless low memory logs on the diagnostic queue. Switching apps is sluggish. Even worse, iBooks. Loading takes forever, and loading a book can crash the app easily. Funny thing is, my iPhone 4, which has a lower clocked A4 chip, is fine and dandy. This made me think that the 256MB RAM on the iPad 1 is the culprit. This really make the experience from great (when I first got it) to poor. Anybody has the same experience? It's a waste as the A4 chip can still performs well.
This is basically my only complaint about the iPad 1. If you load a website in a new tab then switch back to the previous one, it will have to reload it from scratch. The same issue also applies when switching from one app to another, then switching back.
I skipped out on the iPad 2 but I'll likely be upgrading to the next one when it comes out.

HI
Yes, I have been having the same type problems with my IPAD, that is why I am waiting for IPAD 3 this year! I haved noticed more crashes with apps like facebook, flipboard, and youtube.

It is pretty sad. Only one app really stays open at a time, and I've noticed that PDF performance is extremely poor.
