This is one of those ideas that sounds great and stupid at the same time. Is there a consumer benefit to integrated, processing lens units (quick change, dust-free), or is it more of a "Gillette razor" idea that the peripherals create more value for Ricoh than the intial product?
There was this brief intro at ZDNET
blogs.zdnet.com/digitalcameras/?p=2149&tag=con...
and the idea that the lens interface could also cater for mini printers and projectors - but still; is it a benefit, and will it take good photos? Looking forward to the first reviews!
