Instagram comes to Android ... finally!
I've just installed Instagram on my Galaxy S II Skyrocket. Looking forward to playing with it and seeing how it compares to its iOS version!
I installed this as well and it looks nice, but I was hoping that it would have a more Android-y feel to it. Also, I'm a bit puzzled on what Kevin Systrom meant when he said “In some ways, it’s better than our iOS app" [1]. As far as I can tell, it's slightly weaker than the iOS version because it doesn't have that shallow depth of field filter. Overall, I'm happy that it's finally on Android. I felt pretty ridiculous looking at instagram photos on my iPad.

I don't get Instagram. Seems like take a good picture and ruin it with some ugly filter. Or take a bad picture, use a filter to make it look old, use Helvetica font for a caption... and bam! instant hipster photo. For those that use it, can you let me know what is it about that you enjoy? What are the things that you see other photo and sharing applications lacking?
