In order to get the multi-Tivo discount, you have to order your unit at full price directly from Tivo. Kinda annoying.

When I got mine, they were running some kind of deal where you had to sign a year agreement and pay $20/mo but you got the unit for only $99. I didn't like this idea as $20/mo is rediculous and I was only paying $6.95 a month previously. So, I went out and paid full retail price for my Tivo, on purpose. When I called to activate it, they insisted that I had to pay the $20/mo. This makes no sense because I didn't get a subsidized unit! After hours and hours of phone, email and escalated support, I finally got my $6.95/mo price plan added back in, as I was told that plan was valid for the LIFE of my Account (since in the past, I had some major issues and have been a Customer for 11-12 years). Frustrating to say the least but I rarely have to deal with anyone from Tivo so it's all good.

Just to clarify, if you buy a separate Tivo for each TV, you need to pay more for each Tivo? I'm trying to save money over FiOS but I think it's actually cheaper : /

My Verizon multi-room DVR is $20 and a separate HD set top box that can stream from the DVR is $6, that's a total of $26 as opposed to $35 for two Tivos.
