I would like a recommendation for a LCD Flat Panel Television that is 60" diagonally. Any ideas, recommendations, products to stay away from, etc...

Budget is a big deciding factor. Also what you're looking to use the TV for.

Just to edit the budget, because frankspin thoughtfully added another important deciding factor, would be no more than $3000 USD and it would be used for watching movies (streamed from Xbox 360), HD TV shows via DVR, and lots of football (College and NFL) in HD.

I personally own a plasma so I wont be able to help much in the terms of a specific LCD. With that high of a budget though you have a lot of choices, and one worth considering is the whole 3D thing.

Prices are better for the 60+ plasma's but they consume a lot more energy at that size, and they have the slight burn in issue (Although I have a 42" panasonic 720p viera and I am content especially with the black levels).
What kind of plasma do you own?

Panasonic TH-50PZ80U

I've had little to no actual burn.
