I sat next to someone using a Zune HD in flight last week and couldn't stop staring! The user experience looks amazing. I love how entertaining it is!

It looked so easy to use, too! I want one!

I own a zune HD, and I love it. The only problem I have is the fact that it's a Microsoft product. I love MS but they have this amazing ability screw up a good thing. The zune HD is better than the iPod touch in every way; but no one knows that. That coupled with the fact that MS didn't
Open it up for app development. It's a great device but it doesn't matter. It's pretty unfortunate. MS needs to have a word with Apple's Marketing group

Yeah, the UI is brilliant. Ive owned one for about 6 months, and every now and again, the slick transitions just get to me. Such a beautiful device, with so many nice touches.

Would be great if Microsoft's Zune team could convey the benefits of the UI/player to the public. Hopefully the interface will sell a few people when Windows Phone 7 launches. Most underrated PMP player ever.

I completely agree with everything everyone is saying here. :D

One thing I find surprising are a few people out there saying that the Windows Phone 7 UI would just get boring/annoying after awhile, and I always have to reply that even after using my Zune HD every day for the past year about, I never have once gotten bored of the UI. I still find myself delighted just moving through the UI, which I don't think many people can say that about a UI.

I can't wait for WP7, it's everything I love about the Zune HD a thousand times over.

How could a boring user interface be a bad thing?
I want the interface to get out of my way. I just want to get at my files. If the interface takes attention, it's too cumbersome. I don't want to have to play a freaking video game to listen to a song. I'm saying this as a general comment, not on the zune specifically as I've never used one.

But then, I'm the kind of guy who likes to have his tracks named nicely in separate folders for CD and artists accessible through the simple, common-sense menu structure of a file explorer, rather than as cutesy animated icons flying around my screen amusing me with how they can be semi-transparent or some crap (at the cost of a high-end video card) etc.
