I redesigned the gdgt logo

I think it looks quite handsome.
Edit: Just wanted to point out that this is just a gag and not intended to be taken seriously. I saw some Microsoft-inspired logos and decided to make one for gdgt.

I feel like this is too similar to the new Microsoft logo with the logo on the left and the brand name on the right.
Update: oh this was a joke! Still, when it's time to change logos, I say keep the same gdgt font.

I first saw it I said it has to be a joke or send up abut the new ugly as sin 1980s M$ logo and came here to vent my frustrations ok you got me Cass well done
I like Microsoft's new logo. It feels hip and consumer-esque. Their previous logo was very corporate, actually. Also, the new logo does look much better in actual physical stores. news.cnet.com/8301-10805_3-57498981-75/microsoft-s...

I know this isn't serious, but I will still drop my penny in the bucket.
I think the text should integrate more with the shape more than it does, possibly using a color inversion technique. The g and the d inside the shape and in white text. The second g and the t outside the box in red text. Maintain the letter spacing.
