I love me some Sony products too bro, but you remember the boomerang controller that was supposed to debut on PS3? Yeah forget about changing the controller. It's been a staple of Sony and hasn't significantly changed in over 20 years now. No need to, it's the best controller out and Xbox people can disagree all they want until Microsoft changes their controller again.
Besides, PS4 won't come out til close to 2015. There's no need for it now. PS Move is still young in development and will help Sony extend the PS3 life cycle. Maybe the PS4 will be connected to your TV with a streaming stick like the thing Roku just came out with, have a tablet like base that's obviously portable, and utilize controllers over bluetooth? Maybe I just have that vision in my head since the Sony tablet S just announced that it will be able to connect with PS3 controllers and play some PSP titles, which makes a lot of sense to me.
Could the PS4 be a high powered tablet with a optional disc drive and connectivity to PS Move controllers, Dualshock controllers and smartphones? Maybe so, but it will be at least 2 years before it's fully released.

PS4 as a tablet, now that is an idea worth investing in... I agree with you on the controllers. I play lots of Street Fighter and can never get accustomed to executing moves on the xbox controller vs. PS controller! Dualshock controllers with smartphones is def still a long way. I have never had any success with syncing my iphone with any bluetooth items, blah.
