of these two, I'm leaning more towards the V470, but the 1200 DPI sensor on the Targus caught my attention. Any feedback is appreciated, Thanks in advance

Precision has always been great for me. If you still did not choose, give it a chance, it's very good! Stylish, comfortable, very good battery life.
And if you already chose it I hope you're happy with it.
