I'm off to run the 'will it work for me' tests that I run on everything I'm going to use so I'll hold off on passing any hardware…
judgement, but...
... do Samsung not have a single original thought in their collective heads?
Right down to the ribbon-handled 'boutique' style bag that you get the notebook in, this is about as blatant a ripoff of the first-gen Air as it gets. Why would you, as a company with some degree of self-identity and a significant R&D spend, take cues from the (admittedly very successful, given the nature of most people) most 'style without substance' company out there?
Bah humbug.

Ah, well - I can't claim to be a huge Samsung customer to date. However, nothing else Samsung I've bought to date quite has that 'we give up' feel.
I didn't review that post properly: 'take cues' -> 'directly copy'
So, well, the short answer to 'will it work for me' is, certainly in terms of core hardware, most definitely. Definitely a leap over the '10 Air in terms of stability and general thermal / noise profiles. Slight issue with the screen, nothing serious. Good runtime, connectivity is nice. While I see many complaints about the wireless, it's no worse than the (OK yeah, kinda rubbish) Macbooks, which I have been for the most part dealing with. In terms overall utility it's definitely 'business-lite' as opposed to the 'decidedly consumer' Air - for one reason or another, there's more functional engineering in evidence here.
However, I still can't get over this derivative-in-the-extreme, and in some cases, executed in an inferior manner, design. And design was why I picked this machine up out of curiosity - from a pure function viewpoint, given my lineup it's not exactly filling a desperate need.
