I'm hoping this turns out to be one hackable pad.
I was thinking the same thing when I heard it was going to be $200USD. This slate looks promising, we've just got to hope that the xda community gets behind it. The only thing I see crippling this slate in the long run is that damned Rockchip processor. :(
But, for 200 bucks for a 7 inch tablet, what more could you ask for, right?

It is. i bought it. as an impulse 2am impulse buy
since its not HTC made, xda is as usual mute.

so far i have gmail, google maps, and google market(offcial market not archos market)
best part is that hacking is just like updateing the update.img file. Archos DOES NOT lock thier product.
