I loved mine. It didn't do well partly because it was kinda awkward: different controls (which I liked), bulky, and expensive. Mainly though, the timing just wasn't good. It was released in '82, and the whole video game market crashed in '83/84. That really sucked the life right out of it.
I spent many, many hours with my 5200. Graphics and gameplay close enough to real arcade games that you could use it to practice for the real thing. It probably saved me a lot of quarters.
