I love this machine! I have been looking for a laptop that was light for travel but had the power of a high end gaming rig.

Now i did choose the option to spec this unit up, (beauty of being able to use CTO) paid a little more than what i normally would. But this machine has not been disappointing at all. The only draw back was not having a DVD/CD drive built into the PC. I had to go purchase one Dell recommends. So to make the experience even better, the CD/DVD drive that was being recommended, didnt even read DVD's and was from XP era. How does that happen?

anyway, out of a ten, i would give this PC an 9 overall base on performance, drivers, look/feel, design, OS (comes with Windows7 HP) reliability, upgrade options. the only thing keeping this from being a perfect machine is my dvd drive experience.

i just read the quoted weight of it, i was under the impression that it was really heavy so i was surprised to see it under 3kg..

You should write a review. gdgt.com/alienware/m11x/reviews/

The most important question is how is gaming performance on this thing? And yes, write a review when you've had more time with this mini-animal.

Thanks guys. I posted this review on the m11x page, but will do more on other laptops. I just got the HP envy beats laptop and the Asus ROG G51j and am playing around with those now. Some REALLY powerful laptops coming!

You sound like you just had you're tax refund come in. Let us know what you think of those as well! The G51j looks like a sweet portable gaming machine.
