Discussion about
I just received an email informing me that some of my Club Nintendo points were set to expire.
I currently have about 610 points, and the amount expiring is 180. While I'm glad they brought this program to the United States, I'm a bit disappointed they chose to implement expiration dates like this, especially as how even some airlines don't even do that (and me and my bf have amassed a huge collection of Coke Points).
So now it's a question of, what do I spend the points on?

I could buy a lower-point item just to use up the expiring points, or blow the wad on something a tad more expensive. The really desirable stuff, like the Game & Watch games, are out of the question. The messenger bag seems nice, but has no pockets and only carries 30 pounds. The pouches are out of stock (though I might wait until they come back, I at least have some time). Any recommendations?
While we're at it, does anyone else have a Club Nintendo account? What have you purchased?

The Zelda poster set is really nice if that's something you'd like. I also got the messenger bag a while ago because I switched from a 15" macbook pro to a 13" macbook air and wanted something smaller than my existing bag to carry it in. For that purpose it's pretty nice. I keep my air in a separate padded sleeve and I can just slip that in the messenger bag and carry it around easily. For much else it would be too small though.
I've had a Club Nintendo account for a while now and the only things I've redeemed for are a useless Wii remote holder (one of the only things available back at launch) and a mushroom head tote bag. I think they also sent me some sort of calendar thing for reaching a certain point total last year.
The Game and Watch items and messenger bag are probably the only useful things you can get.
Japan's Club Nintendo program seems to be so much better...

I do have a Club Nintendo account, thought I haven't redeemed my points for anything yet.
I used to have a ton of product registrations on Nintendo.com from the N64 / GBA days, but I forgot about my account and missed out on the transition when they moved everything to Club Nintendo.
