I have started using an iPad for work purposes and I find it constrictive, especially now that I'm used to an Android phone.

Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Which is why I sneer at iPad users in meetings from behind the screen of an X201T.

*evil grin*

But seriously, it's probably worth waiting for an Android tablet - although I'm not convinced it will be that much less constricting than an iPad.

Yeah, I'm keeping my eye out on the Cruz tablet by Velocity Micro. Waiting to see some reviews of that.

In general, I don't use mine for work. There are a couple of things that it is quite handy for though:

1) For new clients I do a walk through inspection/site discovery and fill out the worksheet on iPad
2) Quick demos of things for clients. There is nothing special about the iPad for this, but it adds a bit of pizzaz.

YMMV, but I think for most people a compelling work application for this hasn't yet emerged.

We use it to display information about our school programs to prospective students; in that sense it works well. When it comes to creating content, it really lacks, and I can't stand having to do everything via itunes.

I've been happy with using my iPad in the office, ever since I read the iPad for Work Guide/PDF at OSInsights.com. I didn't really know all of the tips and tricks to using it for work, and really just played Angry Birds on airplanes.

I do wish it had a physical keyboard, because that is its biggest weakness, to me. For important meeting, I still lug my laptop around so that I can send follow up emails after meetings.
