The unit arrived and I make an appointment with the cable company to come out and install the required mutli-stream card. The cable company came to my house twice with only a single stream card. So after about a week and 3 or 4 phone calls I finally got the required card installed.
The unit worked the first day. Then it stopped displaying a picture. After having the cable company out several more times and about 6 calls to Tivo support, I got the unit exchanged.
Now the second unit is doing the same thing. The unit "sees" that the cable card is inserted but doesn't display any info for it in the cable card decoder menu. Sometimes the unit will work for a few seconds or a minute or right after I restart it, and then it stops again. Tivo support try's to blame it on the cable company's signal but I have 2 other Tivo HD's in the house that don't have a problem
Anyone else having these problems.
Oh and Tivo won't refund my money because they said I waited to long to ask for a refund. I explained that between the cable company appointments and calls to tech support I have been actively work to resolve the problem with the units the entire time I have had them. Way to stand behind a long term customer who has owned 5 different Tivo's over the years. I guess I have made my last purchase from what was once a great company.
Discussion about
I have owned just about every Tivo product over the years. So I was excited when Tivo announced the new premiere unit. I purchased one right away.
