I have 2 of these and 2 VX Nanos, the VX Nano is better. This one has a much shorter battery life.

I can't comment on the battery life but the main thing about the Anywhere Mouse MX is that it can track on pretty much any surface (even glass); the Nano can't do this.

Yes that that is true - tracking is better on the Anywhere Mouse.
