I had every kind of problem with my Kodak Zi6, it would freeze, not start up even with fresh batteries, the screen would go white, and not turn on even with…

many tries. Support told me to upgrade the firmware (impossible) and keep formatting the memory card. Next, the card would not lock into place. Recently I solved the problem by wrapping a strong 3/8" rubber band around the middle of body of the camera. The elastic goes over the "SD" and holds the card firmly in place. Now the camera does not miss a beat. It works fine. I now I urge all to try this simple solution.
