Discussion about
I got my hands on the Infuse on Friday, any questions you'd like answered?
This is a great question. Because it's so thin it is actually very pocketable and it feels pretty good in the hand. Now, 4.5-inches is going to be just too big for some people -- maybe even most people -- but I actually like how easy it is to type on it and it is not unwieldy like the 5-inch Dell Streak (which despite only having a slightly bigger screen just seems too big to me).
Now the one downside of the big screen is that the WVGA resolution doesn't look so hot at that size. I compared it with the QHD resolution of the 4.3-inch screen on the HTC Sensation, and there is really no doubt that once you get to 4.3 inches and above you need that higher resolution. Fonts look way better. But otherwise I think 4.5-inches works, though it's probably the upper bound for this stuff, if that makes sense.

I can only find the thickness in the press release, did you find the full set of dimensions? (weight?)
P.S. Great meeting you at GDGT Live last Friday, great event!

I quite like it. I think 4.5-inches is about as big as you can go, I have the Streak as well and it feels like that crosses over into being too large to really work as a phone. The thinness of the Infuse really helps, of course.
That said, I don't think the Infuse is for everyone, there are plenty of people who will find it too large (just like there are people who think the EVO, Thunderbolt, Droid X, etc are too large).

For me the biggest downside to the Nexus S was battery life, it wasn't great compared with some of the other Android phones that have come out lately. Having stock 2.3 is a big plus, and it's frustrating that anyone would release a phone running 2.2 in May 2011. Samsung also isn't doing themselves any favors with TouchWiz (or at least not with the 3.0 version), and fortunately you can use ADW or LauncherPro to clean things up, so to speak.
I think a tougher choice is between the Infuse and the Sensation, since the Sensation has a higher resolution display. One of my criticisms of the Infuse is that WVGA just doesn't look all that great on a 4.5-inch screen compared with QHD on the Sensation's 4.3-inch screen.
