I don't even use this console to play games... i love it just for the streaming of videos/movies! Great stuff!!!

I use it for just about everything it does. I play games on it, I stream videos from other computers in my house, watch movies and tv shows on Netflix, look at pictures, listen to Last.fm... really a versatile machine. One of the reasons I love owning one.

Although to be honest, it gets used in my house to stream videos more than anything else it does.

Depends on what you are talking about streaming. If you want to stream music through Last.fm or movies and tv shows through Netflix, those are built into your XBox - all you need is an Xbox Live gold account. If you want to stream media from your PC, you can use Windows Media Player on windows, Rivet on mac, or ushare on linux. I have one machine in the house running linux and ushare, and my main computer, which is a Mac, running Rivet.

If you'd like more info on any of those (except windows - I don't have a windows machine) let me know. I'd be happy to help point you in the right direction.

Ah, sorry. Just saw that you mentioned Last.fm by name. Yeah it's built into your Xbox, you just need an Xbox Live gold account. It's sort of like Pandora, but it's not as technical about choosing music for you. Where Pandora judges what you like and dislike about music and gets smarter the more you use it, Last.fm chooses music for you more based on what artists are similar. There's a whole social networking thing to it too; You can get a profile on their site that keeps track what you listen to on your computer or their site and track what your favorite artists are and get some other neat stats. Personally I like Last.fm better. I even pay the $3 a month for an upgraded account to kill the commercials and stuff.

P.S., you can peep my last.fm profile here: www.last.fm/user/manverualma

Sounds cool... I think I might check that out, although I let my Live Gold account expire since I don't play any games.
Thanks!

You can always check out Last.fm on your computer before you decide if you want to use it on your Xbox or not. You can listen to Last.fm radio right from their web page. If you like it enough to use on your XBox you can worry about your gold account then.
