Discussion about
Rumpelstiltskin

I acquired the first release of the iPad on the date of release, 04/03/2010, having waited patiently in line for 2 hours.

Of course, it is Wi-Fi, sans 3G, but that turned out to be good. Within a few short weeks, I got the Verizon Motorola Droid X and subscribed to the Wi-Fi Driver service which supports five devices, including said iPad. So as it turned out, I'm able to access the net anytime and anywhere without having to contend with AT&T's notoriously poor service.

Ditto. However I have the HD2 running Froyo. Saved 130 on my a
iPad plus whatever data AT&T wants to charge people. Tmobile doesn't care that I tether and I am unlimited. Also, they have HSPA+ signal here so I'm even faster than Sprints 4G EVO! Love it.

ya i feel like phones with wifi tethering are going to make individual devices with 3g in them pointless.
