How useful has Siri been for you?

By now we all know that Siri has an attitude and a sense of humor, but once you've come to terms with that, how practically useful is it? How often does it actually recognize and do what you want it to do? i.e. does it work the way it does in the ads?

How do I Use Siri, let me count the ways...
  1. I use it to create and set alarms
  2. Create reminders
  3. Look up information
  4. Find nearby places (stores, restaurants)
  5. Create and add to lists (e.g.. shopping)
  6. Create calendar entries
  7. Get weather information
  8. Create notes
Overall, it has been very useful. Can't say that I have used it while jogging to set or change an appointment. Seems to work well in a somewhat noisy environment. Recognition for me has been good as well. I would love it if it could launch applications and games, but I expect that functionality to be added in the future. As I get more comfortable with Siri, I notice that I am using it more often.

I don't know I use it the way they show it in the ads. My most common uses are "Siri set an alarm for blah" or "Siri set a reminder at 4 PM for blah". I find when I use it, it saves me time and I'm glad to have it. However I don't use it for everything. It would be nice if it could do a few more things and run things for applications. I'd like it to be able to tweet since I don't have text messaging. It's a nice to have and it is useful but if I had an iPhone 4 I wouldn't update to a 4S for it. I expect Siri to get better and get more features over time.

I believe that there is still alot of room for development for SIRI. I use it for simple/quick tasks like setting an alarm to wake up before going to sleep, trivia type questions, dictating a text msg while driving as my hands are busy steering, or looking up a landmark whenever I am lost. In this respect, I think that SIRI is convenient for small quick tasks.
