How to remove your album artwork succesfully

I recently came upon a problem where all my artwork got mixed up for using one of those ipod -> pc softwares. The strange thing was that the big thumbnails (eg Cover Flow) were there, just the small ones (on list) were mixed up with others.
I read some posts that people had the same problem and the only solution i came up with was selecting all my songs in the library, "get info" and check the box with the white album artwork.
Unfortunately, this didn't solve my problem. So, I decided to share with you how I really solved it.

If you want to PERMANENTLY delete all your album artwork, for one reason or another, just open your iPod on windows explorer, navigate to "iPod control" (hidden folder), "artwork" (also hidden) and delete all the files there. Your ipod album artwork database should be back to square one.

Hope this helps some people on here.

WARNING: I did this at my own risk, so you will too. I won't guarantee this will work on all iPods (mine is the 160GB) and that it may or may not delete your songs as well. That chance is low, but I thought I should warn you of the worst case scenario.

Do you have a way that you have found to delete the generic artwork for a SINGLE song that will show up in covers when a playlist is made, and still keep the song?
