How do you carry around your headphones?

Do you use Apple's little plastic case? It seems a bit bulky and slow for using on a day to day basis. I usually wind them around three fingers and shove them in my pocket. The trouble is that whenever I pull them out I feel like the caps are going to fall on the ground. So do you have any inventive ways of carrying around your headphones?

Well.... I simply put it on the case and I have no problems with that. I really think that these cases help because the headphone doesn't break too early. I really like this headphone btw and it's a really good product. but I really have no problems about carrying it on the case.

I felt the Apple case was bulky as well. I use a small pouch, originally supplied with Sony headphones (MDREX81LP). It is obviously very slim, but keeps the dust out, and protects them from other items I may be carrying in my pockets.

I usually throw them in my backpack's side pocket wrapped round my Shuffle - and yeah I agree, that case is bulky

I wrap them around three fingers as you do, then shove them in an Altoids Chewing Gum tin. It's very compact and convenient for putting in your pocket, and prevents lint/dirt from collecting on the eartips (especially if you have wet earwax) and mesh filter. I've done this with all of my in-ear headphones and it's worked wonders in keeping them clean and new-looking. Also, the tin prolongs their life and prevents tangling in-pocket (I carry my 3GS in the same pocket).

they're either in the original case, around my neck, or in my ears.

I usually keep them in the case. The headphone case for these buds are the smallest case I have seen. Much smaller than cases for Ultimate Ears or Shure headphones.

When I'm lazy though I just stick them in my pocket along with my phone.

Lately I have been using this method ( lifehacker.com/152499/keep-headphone-wires-from-ge... ), and it works pretty well. I still have a problem with the earphone caps slipping off when I pull them out of my pocket. But it keeps them untangled and easy to use.
