Great Mouse

Thought I'd just comment that this mouse has been really useful since I have picked it up. The USB receiver plug is extra small and is basically hidden on the back of my tower. The laser precision is great in UT3 and and other games.

Let me know if anyone has a problem with their mouse. I've been using this almost 9 months now and it still feels as new as the day I bought it.

Oh yeah, the scroll wheel is amazing fast too, you can really get a workout flicking that S.O.B.

Bought this mouse last night. Hate it. The middle click is unreliable. I sometimes have to press extra hard to get it to respond, or tilt the wheel to the right slightly. That's my only complaint, but it ruins it for me. Taking it back today.

OK, for the record, I started using this mouse on April 17th 2008. Today, on 30th July 2009, the first set of batteries finally gave up.

IMHO this is a very good, if not perfect, wireless, laser mouse with a radio usb dongle and no charger. I doubt that thre is a better mouse in this price range and this class.

The scroll wheel has two modes which can be set manually:

- the classic mode where the rotation of the wheel is restricted and it releases a nice and not too loud click while being rotated.
- The second mode is to release the wheel and set it free. Then it becomes a speed devil and there is no restriction to its rotation, i.e. there is nothing to slow down the wheel once it is rotated. Of course this makes the wheel hypersensitive to any movement so occasional accidental scroll happens. The way to remedy this is you need to learn to keep your middle finger in contact with the wheel when you are not rotating it. Just have the finger rest on one of the sides of the wheel and lightly touching it. That way no accidental scroll occurs.

The mouse has a top notch power saving facility. I bought this mouse beginning of April 2008 and have used it at work on my primary PC every working day. As I write this (28 July 2009) I am still using the first battery set. Now, I have never seen a mouse use batteries this long. I am totally amazed. The usb dongle seems to vary in size as I have the one with a longer usb transmitter.

Precision wise it is a top quality laser mouse in the range of other Logitech MX mice. Works precisely on almost any surface I tried it on.

Totally recommended purchase.

Ok I was in a shop! From 3 mouse I couldn't find one which has a perfectly balanced flywheel... don't buy this or at least not for the hyperscrolling...

Hmmm... the receiver for me is about 2-3 cm long... Thats quiet long if you stick it into the side of your the notebook... (my bluetooth dongle probably only 5mm)

About the mouse quality: I have to send it back as the flywheel (the scrollwheel) is not balanced as such it makes scrolling completely random... :(

If you buy yours buy it in person in a shop and make sure that there is no visible wobble if you are spinning it!

Yeah, I struggled to find a good mouse to use with my new imac. Went through a few before finding this one. Now I am really happy as this has everything I need including speed!
