great idea, glad they made it , will i buy it????????
i like what was said on Buzz out Loud today good idea, glad they made it, will i ever buy one... NO!!! even if it is $50 there is such a little market for it and if anyone and the fact that so few understand HD Radio as it is. this is pointless
The best way to create a market is to make it available. A product doesn't get born with a userbase, it has to gain it. Sure, HD Radio is having some problems starting up, but that doesn't mean it is pointless.
Yeah, you have to start somewhere. I'm hoping this first effort (however lame it happens to be) will spur other manufacturers to get on the bandwagon. I ordered one the first day it was available. Even if it's not great, I'm just glad that someone's making an effort to forward the HD radio cause. Let's face it: satellite radio is going under sooner, rather than later.
You wouldn't buy one because there's no market for it and other people don't understand it? Maybe I need to listen to BOL to hear more of what they/you mean by that. I own an HD car stereo, and that baby has been awesome. I've doubled my radio stations.
The best part of this particular time is that at this point, *because* there's no market for it, every HD station in my area (St. Louis) is commercial-free. If HD really takes off, that'll of course change. But right now is the golden age of HD. Even if it dies on the vine in a few years, I think $50 for a few years of commercial-free, high-quality radio is worth it.
