great for portability..i bought it to back up files while i was doing a lot of traveling. but its not great, the WD Smartware software is crap.

great for portability..i bought it to back up files while i was doing a lot of traveling. but its not great, the WD Smartware software is crap.

it says it backs up files and then if you go to put it on a new computer or a formatted one it doesnt register the original back up files. happened to me and happened to somone else i know. besides that it is very slow and performs awfully. the harddrive itself has slow transfer speeds due to its portability being so great. so i guess thats a trade off. i formatted the drive now and just drag and drop stuff in there.
