First of all, please excuse the rather long title.
Secondly, While watching the review by TechCrunch of the HP DreamScreen I noticed a little something in the background. Now this may just be me being hopeful, but it sure looks like the CrunchPad.

So is this the sleeker production model or the older prototype that we have already seen? If it is the newer one why no announcement yet? Why no new pictures or video teaser? I'm desperate here! I'm taking stills from other reviews as glimpses of hope at this point. Is this all just going to be some vaporware story?

You could be right, but it kinda looks like a prototype to me, with the red frame and all, still we can hope.
After looking at it I am convinced that it is prototype B (if I am associated the prototype letters and body styles correctly). I am desperate at this point for some clue as to when this thing is coming out. I feel like this is getting kind of ridiculous. We heard that there would be some announcement in early august and got nothing. Then we had hopes to hear something at TechCrunch50 and heard nothing. I keep walking into my local computer store and have to pry myself away from the netbooks to keep myself from replacing this product before it even comes out. I am beginning to wonder if this will be out before the end of the year or at all.

Yeah i read that but he wasn't very generous unless it had the apple logo, although he did give in site into the crunchpad. And i wouldn't say it had every thing but a lot of good info, like why we won't see an apple tablet anytime soon.
