Just a quick heads up to anyone who's looking at purchasing one of these for use recording concerts (as I was), or other situations with loud noises. I couldn't find many examples of how well it handles very high sound levels so I thought I'd post some.
Here are two videos shot at different concerts with my Kodak Zi8:

And for comparison, two videos shot with my previous two video recording devices, my Nokia smartphones:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=e47yIrmLm9s (Nokia N86, not bad, but still quite a bit of distortion)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WrlD4JzSSg (Nokia N95, lots of distortion, pretty terrible overall)
As you can hear, the Kodak Zi8's microphone seems to deal with high levels extremely well and doesn't distort at all.
Hope this help a few people out!

The Zi8 along with having a mic input...there is also a hard limiter on the software that squeezes the peaks so they dont go into the red and distort.
Im using a Zoom H2 and Yamaha CX field recorders to get the very best audio...why have HD video if you are going to have mono sound???
