Family of Tablets

With rumors about three different screen sizes, does anyone think that Apple might release a family of iSlates, like the iMac and MacBook Pro lines?

If the SDK is the same/similar to the iPhone's and developers already are going to have to deal with >1 screen size/resolution, would more than 2 be that much more of a burden? Probably not. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if it was only 1 size, at least to begin with. Test the market, get developers used to larger screen and so on. That's my hunch at least.

Obviously this is all hypothetical, but I was thinking that the 7" model would run iPhone OS and be consumer oriented. And the 10"/11" model(s) would run Snow Leopard and be more professionally oriented.

That's an interesting idea, but I doubt Apple would fragment its products by including one size with iPhone OS and the other with Snow Leopard.

And the pro model would be called the Mac Touch. At least, I hope it will.

I was also thinking the same, 7" iPhone OS and 10" Mac OS.

That would be a 960x640 resolution for a 7" iPhone OS based tablet if Apple kept the same ratio, which it probably will so all the games and apps do not have to be re-designed.

It will be huge in your pocket (if it still fits). I compared an iPhone with the iPhone screen and a possible iSlate 7" that's double the size of the iPhone screen. (check the front view)
