External speaker setting not stick

I've had this TV for a couple years, and overall, it's pretty good. At the time I got it, it was significantly cheaper than comparable models from the big brands, and had plenty of inputs for my needs (HDMI, 2 sets of component inputs, S-video, VGA, and several I don't even know what they're for).

However, there's one annoying factor about this TV that there's never been a fix for, as far as I know. You can select whether you want the internal speakers or the RCA audio out (for external speakers) active from the TV's onscreen menu, but your selection doesn't survive a power cycle. This means that if you select external, then turn the TV off, you have to select it again when you turn the TV back on. This is pretty annoying, since most people who have external speakers for their TV/home theater system will want them on all the time.

If you have a receiver that accepts all your audio inputs, this is not an issue except for when you're using the built-in tuner. Since this is a more budget model, I'm assuming that most buyers are using the built-in tuner rather than a separate one.

Not a dealbreaker, but a little annoying. Has there ever been a firmware release to address this?
