eSATA.........*drool*
Just a work of caution - just got the new Gen 2 Drobo S (eSATA/USB3/FW800) and it doesn't work with my eSATA ports. Finder sees the drive but the Drobo Dashboard does not. Per their support, not all eSATA ports have the same bandwidth and the Dashboard only works with some of them.
It needs a more recent esata controller chipset. The drobo needs one with port replication support. Any card or mobo on the market now will prolly have it.
