I had my Eris in my pocket -- It had a rubbery sleeve around the sides and back (though not the screen) and a screen protector plastic sheet over the screen. Despite all this, the screen broke while the unit was in my pocket -- I must have knocked it against something. The screen would still illuminate and the phone could still be answered when it rang, but the screen itself was non-responsive, and had a "star" broken impact-pattern on the glass -- just like a windshield ding. Anyway: toast.
Anybody else get a broken screen after, what, 5 months?
