Does it have active noise cancelling or is it just relying on the rubber?

It says 'Rated among the best noise canceling earbuds around for the price' but it doesn't mention any price. Also, as far as I understand from reviews, most noise cancelling is just an nice name for trying to keep other noise out by using isolation, while you'd expect a highly sophisticated anti-noise system. Not a small piece of rubber.

Yeah, it's just the rubber tips. These types of earbuds do keep out noise by design, but unless it says so on the box then no, they don't all have active noise cancelling.
